Project Details/Updates
October 1, 2024:
- The road is now open for traffic. The project has been completed.
September 27, 2024:
- Work is wrapping up on the project with paving to be done in the next few days. Project is scheduled to be complete by the end of day on October 4, 2024.
September 10, 2024:
- The Western Ave/Culvert replacement project is scheduled to start on September 16th.
- Please refer to map for road closure information and detour route.
What to expect moving forward:
- Road or lane closures will be in effect during construction. Observe posted signs and detours.
Changes and disruptions in the project area:
- Traffic on Western Ave will be disrupted during construction season.
- No disruptions to utilities, mail, garbage, or other services are anticipated.
Overview
Project Description:
The aging culvert on Western Ave, roughly three blocks south of the Hwy 14 Bypass, will be replaced.
Why the Project:
The culvert is nearing the end of its useful life and will be replaced.
