Overview

Project Description:

Various streets throughout the city will be resurfaced. This project also includes work on select sidewalk ramps and sidewalks. BMU is replacing sanitary sewer and water distribution utilities on portions of the project including 11th Avenue.

Why the Project:

This resurfacing project ensures roads around the community are regularly maintained. The City of Brookings surveys the condition of every street in the community to determine which streets need to be resurfaced each year.

The city coordinates with BMU on planned street improvement projects. If utility replacements are needed under planned street improvements, the city and BMU work together to combine their projects into one to minimize disruptions to homeowners and the traveling public.

Estimated Completion:

Completion varies by the roadway. All segments are planned for completion by September 2026.
