August 2, 2023:
- The milling of the following streets will begin August 3, 2023: Crystal Ridge Circle, Teton Lane, and Deer Pass.
- The milling work will continue until August 8, 2023. Following, the roads will be paved and completed within 2 weeks from the start date of August 3rd.
- Trash and recycling will not be impacted at this time.
- Parking on the street will be prohibited.

June 29, 2023:
Harvey Dunn St will be closed from 3rd Ave to Main Ave for an estimated six weeks starting July 5, 2023.
- This is a complete closure: residents in the project area will not have access to their driveways. Alternative parking arrangements are shown on the map.
- Phase 1 includes work on sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer.
June 23, 2023:
Various roadways throughout Brookings will be resurfaced this construction season. Some locations in this project will also include improvements to curb ramps, storm sewers, watermains, and sanitary sewers. The project work areas are indicated on the map above.
What to expect moving forward:
Residents and visitors in the project area should watch for signs posted by the construction contractor. The signs will indicate upcoming road closures and detours.
Changes and disruptions in the project area:
- The highlighted areas on the map above will be closed in segments. Detour routes will be posted whenever possible: due to multiple variables as the work progresses, detour routes may change faster than this page updates. The Contractor will attempt to provide ongoing guidance in the neighborhoods in which they are working.
- Temporary mailboxes may be used for portions of this project.
- Temporary garbage collection locations may be used for portions of this project. Specific information on this will be provided as needed.
- Private property should not be affected. Boulevards alongside the project area may require minor grade work and will be reseeded after the project is finished.
- After the Contractor has arrived, homeowners should mark their lawn irrigation systems or inform the Contractor or Engineer of their locations, if known. The City will repair damaged sprinkler heads and lines upon completion of the project.

Overview
Project Description:
Various road surfaces throughout the city will be refinished. This project also includes work on storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer.
Why the Project:
This resurfacing project ensures roads around the community are regularly maintained. The City surveys the condition of every street in the community to determine which streets need to be resurfaced each year.
Estimated Completion:
Completion varies by the roadway / storm sewer. All segments are planned for completion by November 2023.
